This was written back when he hadn't yet realized that we were a system. In fact, rewriting some of this page just made me even more aware of how much of my DNA was always present in "his" writing.
Faith grew complicated for us after discovering our systemhood, not only spiriually, but logistically as well. Where does one alter's faith end and where does the other begin? The fact that since then, Sam split into even more members didn't help things. Especially when some of those members are Kamisama, and when one of them is an introject of Matarajin-sama. Perhaps when Sam said that he's present within him, he knew on some level.
All we know now is that this connection is still there, and it's still being cultivated. Perhaps only Matarajin-sama knows how we'll continue to tend this faith.
